Target Audience

This program is primarily designed for:

      • Practicing pathologists

      • Surgical pathologists

      • Pathologists with a special interest in soft tissue tumors and sarcoma diagnostics


Educational Objectives

Upon completion of this CME activity, participants will be able to:

      • Apply a pattern-based approach to the differential diagnosis of soft tissue tumors

      • Discuss the differential diagnosis of cutaneous mesenchymal tumors

      • Describe the key histologic features of pleomorphic soft tissue tumors

      • Recognize histologic and genetic subtypes of gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GIST)

      • Apply a pattern-based diagnostic approach to vascular and nerve sheath tumors

      • Utilize immunohistochemistry effectively in the diagnosis of soft tissue tumors
